Strange trees growing on walls without soil

Nearly 1,200 tree growing on the walls in Hong Kong, which are often a ficus tree species that grows with nothing to do with nutrition from the soil, and the authorities in the country are protecting this rare trees, they don't want to make it weaken and die out completely.
